The Innermetrix Values Index™

The Values Index™ (VI) is the latest interpretation of the work of Dr. Eduard Spranger and Dr. Gordon Allport into what drives and motivates an individual’s decision making. The seven dimensions of value discovered between these two researchers allow you to understand the reasons that drive us to utilize our talents in the unique ways we. This Values Index will help you understand your motivators and drivers and how to maximize your performance by achieving better alignment and passion for what you do.
The Values Index will help you to better understand your unique value hierarchy or belief system pertaining to what motivates you, what you are most drawn to and where your passions lie. Such knowledge helps an individual become more effective in several key areas of their life, including:

  • Setting goals that are inspirational
  • Creating roles that align well with motivations
  • Job selection

In a study involving over 197,000 people in 23 countries representing all industries, roles and levels of a company, from entry level all the way up to CEO. The data was analyzed with the help of over 900 consultants and 75 Ph. D’s in the hopes of identifying commonalities between the top performers – the elite 9% who achieved all of their goals within a one-year timeframe. Only two characteristics emerged

1) Self-awareness
2) Authenticity

Simply stated, the peak performers averaged over 90% self-awareness. Their self-insight or self-knowledge of their natural talents were much higher than everyone else and as such, they were able to make better decisions about the roles, positions and the careers they selected thereby being more authentic - playing to their strengths versus their weaknesses.
